New Paintings
I am a painter inspired by the beauty of nature. My creative process is heavily influenced by the colors and textures found in the world around me. My style is realism but occasionally I will do something whimsical. If I can imagine it, I can paint it.
I find joy when I have paint, brushes and a surface to paint on whether it be a canvas, a wall, a piece of wood or glass. My preferred medium is oil although I use acrylic and glass paint on occasion. I love the creative process and seeing an idea or image come alive for me as I add the layers of paint.
Although I am self-taught, I have painted professionally and taught painting for over 30 years including painting murals for the Air Force and local communities where I have lived. I aim to reveal the world around us and the colors and beauty it contains.
